Assorted
Compositions by the russian master Michail T.Wyssotzki (1791-1837)
"For All, Who Love The Guitar" Vol.
1
Preface
This volume offers a select number of sophisticated
compositions by an incomparable master of the seven string guitar who
must also be considered a genious composer of the 19th century. Famous
contemporaries such as Fernando Sor considered him an unsurpassed master
because of his many faceted variations, his spontaneous improvisations
and his chromatic approach to harmony.
Regretably, his music has been forgotten. Neither in
Russia nor in the rest of Europe did the seven string guitar find
general acceptance. In addition interest in the guitar waned during the
second half of the 19th century in favour of a new instrument, the
piano.
For these reasons it is of particular importance to me
to present easily playable and acceptable adaptations of these
marvellous compositions for guitar.
All phrasing, dynamics and tempo indications are taken from the
composer.
A good time and much joy with this interesting
compositions for guitar wishes you
